One of France’s oldest and most prestigious ski resorts - skiing is lovely in Alpes thanks to the resort’s high altitude location and glacier, which is the largest in Europe. Nestled at the foot of the slopes, the Chalet hotel Berangere has an amazing location just alongside the piste. Facing south, with a superb view of the mountains, the hotel has a large sunny terrace and balconied rooms allowing you to make the most of the sunshine on those good weather days.

Heated indoor pool, sauna and steam room 

Inside this lovely hotel, you will find plenty of seating around the log fire in the lounge and bar, a bright and spacious dining room, and on the lower ground floor, there is a sauna, steam room and heated indoor swimming pool. If you need to soothe some tired muscles or just feel like some pampering, try one of the fabulously indulgent beauty treatments and massages on offer at the Viva Salon.

The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with super comfy beds and many have balconies too. There are plenty of room options from singles to family suites and whether you come on your own, as a family or a couple, you’ll find everything you need. Children are well catered for with their own children's clubs at the hotel, offering plenty of fun activities and our qualified childcare staff will take them to and from ski school for you.

Meals are plentiful and include a choice of English or continental breakfast, afternoon tea with freshly baked cakes, steaming hot soup and a choice of teas and juices, plus a three course evening meal with complimentary wine.

Accommodation

At Chalet hotel Berangere the bedrooms are tastefully decorated with super comfy beds and many have balconies too. There are plenty of room options from singles to family suites and whether you come on your own, as a family or a couple, you’ll find everything you need. 

With the exception of a few single rooms all guest bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom, television with English speaking channels and hairdryer.

 

Restaurants and Bars

The views from the restaurant look out across the town. The meals are plentiful at Chalet hotel Berangere and include a choice of English or continental breakfast, afternoon tea with freshly baked cakes, steaming hot soup and a choice of teas and juices, plus a three course evening meal with complimentary wine. 

A children's high tea is available 7 days a week for children 12 years and under. 

One evening a week dinner is not served in the Chalet hotel allowing you the opportunity to dine out at one of the excellent local restaurants.

Health and Beauty

What better way to relax after a hard day on the slopes than with a relaxing massage, facial or dip in the heated indoor swimming pool. Our Viva therapy rooms are run by highly qualified Beauty Therapists providing luxury treatments using our fabulous skincare brand Elemis.

Hotel Services & Facilities

The reception at Chalet hotel Berangere is available from 8am to 8pm daily, our customer service team are there to offer support and assistance so that you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

You may charge hotel bills to your room or pay by cash (€). Card payment is accepted at reception. A laundry service is available through reception, at an extra charge.

The ski and boot room can be found on the lower ground floor with boot dryer and ski lockers with secure coded door.

Wifi is available free of charge. 

Award Winning Childcare

Chalet hotel Berangere is a great location for a family ski holiday with the ski slopes right on the doorstep. Childcare at the hotel is available for children from age 4 months to 12 years and is pre-bookable prior to departure.

The hotel crèche is colourful, fun and fully equipped with all essentials such as toys, cots, potties, bottle sterilisers and fridge. There is also a parents kitchen facility for any late night feeds and a free Evening Listening Service which runs from 7.30pm to 11pm allowing parents to relax over dinner whilst the children enjoy quiet time supervised by our nannies with a dvd and a story. 

Ski School Drop-Off

We work closely with our recommended Ski School Evolution 2, who are happy to teach children from 4 years upwards. Children that are booked into the children's clubs will be dropped off and collected from ski school by our childcare staff and from there bought back to the hotel where we provide lunch and afternoon activities (or return to ski school) all supervised.

For children that are not skiing and are booked into the children's clubs then a mountain of fun and games both indoor and outdoor awaits daily.

Baby Club (4-11 months)

Our Baby Club provides a warm, homely and secure environment. We provide one nanny to two babies so the little ones are soon settled and contented. Your baby's day is organised to fit in with their needs and, wherever possible, to your times for naps, milk and feeds. So when your holiday's over, you'll hopefully be able to slip back into your normal routine.

Supervised Lunch and High Tea are included.
6 Full days: 9am to 5.30pm - £285 per week

Toddler Club (1-2 years)

Our Toddler Club is perfectly set up for this most lively-minded age group. Throughout the day our nannies lay on a busy programme of games, stories, music and art to keep toddlers amused. Weather permitting, there are buggy outings and snow play for the older toddlers. Where possible, we try to ensure that children have the same nanny all week, and we do our utmost to adapt to your child's usual daily routine.

Supervised Lunch and High Tea are included.
6 Full days: 9am to 5.30pm - £285 per week

Mini Club (3-5 years)

Our Mini Club is pure fun! Children will enjoy sledging, snowman building and exciting cable car rides - often with a stop-off for a cup of hot chocolate. The action continues indoors, with a full programme that includes arts and crafts, face painting and games.

If you've a 4 or 5 year old who'd like to combine crèche activities with learning to ski, we can arrange ski lessons* with a Mark Warner recommended ski school* and include our drop-off and collection service provided by our nannies. 

Supervised Lunch and High Tea are included.
6 Full days: 9am to 5.30pm - £180 per week

* Ski school lessons are at an extra cost.

Kidz Club (6-12 years)

In the Kidz Club it's all about action, with the emphasis on having fun in the snow. And if your children also want to ski, they're still welcome to join. Our nannies can take them to our Mark Warner recommended ski school* and bring them back for lunch with the others from Kidz Club.

For non-skiers there's a packed programme of entertainment from sledging, snow sculptures, face painting, games and treasure hunts. Our energetic nannies also supervise excursions such as bowling and ice skating for which there's a small extra charge.

5 Full days: 9am to 6.30pm & 9am to 1pm (Saturday) - £155 per week

Free Evening Listening Service

Our supervised Evening Listening Service is open from 7.30pm until 11pm six days a week and offers a quiet sleeping space for little ones and a comfy area for those who want to watch a DVD or listen to a story. 

Babysitting is available at an extra charge, subject to availability.

Les Deux Alpes Lift Passes

Lift passes can be pre-booked in the UK for Chalet hotel Berangere. Book your pass no later than 2 weeks prior to departure to ensure your pass is ready. Your lift pass will be delivered to the Chalet hotel Berangere ready for your arrival, one less thing to do on your first day.

Lift Pass

Les Deux Alpes is the largest ski resort in the Dauphine region. The lift system gives you access to over 225km of marked pistes for you to explore. With this lift pass you also receive the added bonus of 2 days skiing in Alpe d'Huez and 1 days skiing in Serre Chavelier. In addition to this you have one free entry to the swimming pool or ice rink per day.

Skiing can sometimes seem like an elite club!  What with the technical jargon, specialist equipment and ski resorts that sound like they should be in the Chronicles of Narnia, it is slightly daunting for those of us who want to learn. We warmly welcome beginner skiers and our aim is to help you on your way to loving the sport as much as we do. 

Lessons are not just for beginners though, if you are looking to improve your technique or build up confidence, booking lessons on your ski holiday will be the best way. Our ski school in Les Deux Alpes is run by ESF - Ecole du Ski Français.
