Dine with Spectacular Views

Inside, you’ll find a cosy bar and lounge, with comfy leather sofas and armchairs, perfect for unwinding in the evening or in the afternoon with a book if you fancy a break from skiing or boarding. Plus you’ll love the spectacular views of the mountains and tree-lined slopes from the dining room’s floor to ceiling windows. Located high up on the fourth floor of the hotel, the dining room looks out onto the Olympic downhill course, which is illuminated in the evenings, providing sparkling scenes of snow clad trees. Breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner with wine (which are included in your holiday price) are all served here.

Heated outdoor pool

There’s plenty of choice of bedrooms, from singles to a mini apartment, and all have their own en-suite bathrooms, televisions with English speaking channels and hairdryer. Your children can enjoy our spacious, sunny crèche and play with the latest toys and games or join in the activities including sledging, snowman building and face painting, in the expert care of our qualified British nannies. To top it all off, you are free to use the heated outdoor pool just alongside the hotel.

Accommodation

Chalet hotel Val d'Isère offers plenty of choice when it comes to guest rooms. From single bedrooms with ensuite facilities to family style mini-apartments with two separate sleeping areas there is something for everyone.

All guest rooms have their own ensuite bathroom, television with English speaking channels and hairdryer.

Restaurants

At Chalet hotel Val d'Isère, you’ll love the spectacular views of the mountains and tree-lined slopes from the dining room’s floor to ceiling windows. Evening dinner will be 3 courses with wine, the perfect time to reflect on your day on the slopes and unwind. A children's high tea is available 7 days a week for children 12 years and under. 

One evening a week dinner is not served in the Chalet hotel allowing you the opportunity to dine out at one of the excellent local restaurants.

Hotel Services & Facilities

The reception at Chalet hotel Le Val d'Isère is available from 8am to 8pm daily, our customer service team are there to offer support and assistance so that you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

You may charge hotel bills to your room or pay by cash (€). Card payment is accepted at reception. A laundry service is available through reception, at an extra charge.

Wifi is available free of charge. 

British Qualified Nannies

Chalet hotel Le Val d'Isère is extremely child friendly with a sunny spacious crèche on the first floor decorated with colourful paintings and filled with toys. Open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and fully staffed by our team of qualified nannies, there are four childcare clubs for children from ages 4 months to 12 years.

We offer a free Evening Listening Service which is open from 7.30pm to 11pm Monday to Saturday. The hotel crèche is fully equipped with all essentials such as cots, potties, bottle sterilisers and fridge. There is also a parents kitchen facility for any late night feeds.

Ski School

We work very closely with Oxygène ski school, who are happy to teach children from 4 years upwards.  Children that are booked into the children's clubs and the recommended Mark Warner ski school will be dropped off and collected from ski school by our childcare staff and from there bought back to the hotel where we provide lunch and afternoon activities (or return to ski school) all supervised.   

For children that are not skiing and are booked into the children's clubs then a mountain of fun and games both indoor and outdoor awaits daily.

Baby Club (4-11 months)

Our Baby Club provides a warm, homely and secure environment. We provide one nanny to two babies so the little ones are soon settled and contented. Your baby's day is organised to fit in with their needs and, wherever possible, to your times for naps, milk and feeds. So when your holiday's over, you'll hopefully be able to slip back into your normal routine.

Supervised Lunch and High Tea are included.
6 Full days: 9am to 5.30pm - £285 per week

Toddler Club (1-2 years)

Our Toddler Club is perfectly set up for this most lively-minded age group. Throughout the day our nannies lay on a busy programme of games, stories, music and art to keep toddlers amused. Weather permitting, there are buggy outings and snow play for the older toddlers. Where possible, we try to ensure that children have the same nanny all week, and we do our utmost to adapt to your child's usual daily routine.

Supervised Lunch and High Tea are included.
6 Full days: 9am to 5.30pm - £285 per week

Mini Club (3-5 years)

Our Mini Club is pure fun! Children will enjoy sledging, snowman building and exciting cable car rides - often with a stop-off for a cup of hot chocolate. The action continues indoors, with a full programme that includes arts and crafts, face painting and games.

If you've a 4 or 5 year old who'd like to combine crèche activities with learning to ski, we can arrange ski lessons* with a Mark Warner recommended ski school* and include our drop-off and collection service provided by our nannies. 

Supervised Lunch and High Tea are included.
6 Full days: 9am to 5.30pm - £180 per week

* Ski school lessons are at an extra cost.

Kidz Club (6-12 years)

In the Kidz Club it's all about action, with the emphasis on having fun in the snow. And if your children also want to ski, they're still welcome to join. Our nannies can take them to our Mark Warner recommended ski school* and bring them back for lunch with the others from Kidz Club.

For non-skiers there's a packed programme of entertainment from sledging, snow sculptures, face painting, games and treasure hunts. Our energetic nannies also supervise excursions such as bowling and ice skating for which there's a small extra charge.

5 Full days: 9am to 6.30pm & 9am to 1pm (Saturday) - £155 per week

Free Evening Listening Service

Our supervised Evening Listening Service is open from 7.30pm until 11pm six days a week and offers a quiet sleeping space for little ones and a comfy area for those who want to watch a DVD or listen to a story. 

Babysitting is available at an extra charge but subject to availability.

Val d'Isère Lift Passes

Lift passes can be pre-booked in the UK. Book your pass no later than 2 weeks prior to departure. Your lift pass will be delivered to the Chalet hotel Le Val d'Isère ready for your arrival, one less thing to do on your first day.

Val d'Isère Lift Pass
This pass enables you to ski and board the Val d'Isère area covering the central slopes around Solaise, La Fornet a hamlet at the western end of the resort taking you up to Pissaillas Glacier, Bellevarde where you'll find the famous steep and challenging black run La Face and La Daille, a hamlet at the eastern end of the resort with the thrilling OK men's downhill course.  

Espace Killy Pass
The Espace Killy pass is valid for all lifts in Val d'Isère and Tignes, plus one day's skiing in La Plagne, the 3 Valleys and Les Arcs. The Espace Killy pass also offers you free entry to the Aquasportif Leisure Centre with swimming pools, climbing wall and squash courts with any 2 to 15 consecutive day pass. Perfect for those wanting a change in activity or looking to relax weary muscles. 

There are 7 free nursery lifts in Val d'Isère and 4 free nursery lifts in Tignes.

Skiing can sometimes seem like an elite club!  What with the technical jargon, specialist equipment and ski resorts that sound like they should be in the Chronicles of Narnia, it is slightly daunting for those of us who want to learn. We warmly welcome beginner skiers and our aim is to help you on your way to loving the sport as much as we do. 

Lessons are not just for beginners though, if you are looking to improve your technique or build up confidence, booking lessons on your ski holiday will be the best way.

With over 80 instructors, they're big enough to offer adults' and children's group lessons at every level, every week, and small enough to care for everyone of their customers. From their beginnings as a small independent ski school, they've gone from strength to strength.
