Children are well catered for at San Lucianu, and love the large, dedicated childcare centre with clubs for children from 4 months of age upwards. For teenagers, we run the Indy Club - a place for teenagers to come along and meet fellow teenage guests and join a daily programme of team activities and fun.
With first-class tuition from Royal Yachting Association (RYA) instructors, we operate FREE group sailing clinics for sailors of all standards, with a great range of equipment for children right up to seasoned professionals.

Our lively aerobics instructor runs a schedule of daily classes throughout the day, with something to suit everyone. Join in an early morning stretch and tone session, moving on to up tempo body conditioning, aqua aerobics and body pump. All our exercise classes are held outdoors, allowing you to take in the sound of the sea whilst you work out.
Your holiday price includes half board dining, but you can upgrade to full board for just £49 per adult and £35 per child per week.
Breakfast is served on the restaurant terrace with its views of the gardens below. Enjoy a selection of pastries with your morning coffee or give yourself a healthy start to the day with some of the mouth-wateringly fresh local fruit and yoghurts. There’s also a cooked breakfast and a chef's station with eggs cooked to order.
At lunchtime, snacks including panini’s are sold at the beach bar or for those who have upgraded to full board, the restaurant serves a delicious array of dishes from its fresh pasta and pizza station, hot buffet with a variety of local fish, meat and vegetarian dishes, and locally sourced salad bar.
Full board guests heading out for the day need not miss out - a full packed lunch will be provided.
In the evenings, enjoy dining on the terrace with its gentle sea breeze. There are plenty of local specialities to tempt you from the buffet and grill and on a few evenings, there's an à la carte menu.
Spoiling yourself on your holiday is a must. Our VIVA spa with its team of therapists is ready and waiting to indulge you with a treatment menu including Elemis facials and hot stone therapy. This fun sport is easy to learn (unlike surfing!) and what's more you will benefit from a strong 'core' workout. Within an hour or two you will find you are more than comfortable on your board on the water.
Starboard Stand-up Paddleboards are available for use free of charge.
A great way to explore the local coastline, Kayaks are available for use free of charge.
San Lucianu Beach Resort is a favourite amongst sailors. With its good mix of wind conditions, it offers great sailing for all levels. The gently shelving beach and our superb sailing instructors are reassuring to even the most apprehensive beginner.
If you're a beginner or an improver, you can sign up to one of our group tuition clinics or free sail if you prefer. Whatever your choice, our instructors will rig your craft and get you out on to the water safely.
As part of our childcare programme, children learn to sail and have fun on the water. Our fleet of fun boats for kids are a great way to start.
We also run a number of RYA sailing courses for both adults and children, which are pre-bookable in the UK.
We have introduced six RS Quba dinghies to the fleet, offering an alternative to the Laser Pico for beginner sailors. We continue to sharpen our focus on youth training with the addition of more Laser Bugs - a boat that through 2013 proved a great means of getting kids hooked on sailing.
Group sailing clinics run over 5 days of the week and are tailored to ability. Groups are made up of a maximum of 6 people. Simply come along to a watersports briefing at the beginning of your holiday and sign up to join a group.

As an RYA accredited centre, we are able to teach the National Sailing Scheme. This offers our guests the chance to earn a recognised, certified qualification, ideal for those interested in owning a dinghy or joining a sailing club. RYA Start Sailing (Level 1)
The beginner's course. Run throughout the course of the week, teaches the fundamentals of sailing. By the end of the course, participants will have a basic understanding of sailing up, down and across wind, turning the boat and how to recover from a capsize. RYA Start Sailing certificate and log book (subject to successful assessment) are awarded. This course is always popular and we recommend pre-booking in the UK.

RYA Basic Skills (Level 2)
Tuition taking you to the next level throughout the course of the week. This course consolidates the skills learnt on the Start Sailing course and sets out the foundations of sailing. Again, a very popular course, it is recommended to pre-book in the UK.

RYA Better Sailing (Level 3)
A recent addition to the National Sailing Scheme, this excellent course bridges the gap between Start Sailing, Basic Skills and the Advanced Modules making the transition easier for those wishing to progress through the scheme. Through a large amount of time spent at the helm, confidence is built and technique is developed. RYA Better Sailing certificate (subject to successful assessment) is awarded. Pre-bookable in the UK.

RYA Seamanship Skills
The successful sailor will be capable of manoeuvring a dinghy in a seamanlike manner and capable of making seamanship decisions in moderate conditions. RYA Sailing with Spinnakers
An exhilharating course that, through the course of the week, teaches you how to rig, hoist, drop and trim a spinnaker effectively. Large amounts of time are spent on the water, learning how to maximise boat speed and understand best course downwind. A useful course to do if you are interested in racing crewed boats. Booked in resort, available for adults and children 14 years and over.

For children under 14 years we offer the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme. The YSS offers both a fun and educational experience. Structured and progressive learning, delivered under the watchful eye of our experienced, qualified instructors will allow children to come away with an RYA qualification. The scheme links in with the adult programme allowing for a smooth transition as children's skills develop.
Stage 1 (Age 6-13 years)
Spread over the course of the week, introducing younger sailors to the basics of launching and recovering, steering, parts of the boat and basic sailing. A certificate (subject to successful assessment) is awarded at the end of the course. It is recommended to pre-book in the UK.

Stage 2 (Age 6-13 years)
Instruction throughout the course of the week increases the ability of the young sailor's basic sailing skills, rope work and collision avoidance. At the end of the course they will be able to tack and control boat speed and leave and return to shore under supervision. Pre-bookable in the UK.

Stage 3 (Age 8-13 years)
Tuition over the course of the week focusing on rigging, launching and recovery, sailing techniques, capsize recovery and sailing theory. As with sailing, the mixed wind conditions at San Lucianu are great for windsurfing. Mornings tend to be calmer on the water tempting the novice windsurfer out, whereas the breeze builds in the afternoon, often making for good conditions for the more advanced. Whatever your ability, this really is an exhilarating sport, and our instructors are on hand to take you to the next level. Group tuition, private instruction and RYA windsurfing courses are all available throughout the summer.
Additional Starboard Rio boards provide a modern alternative for the beginner windsurfer. Further boards from the Starboard Go range provide a great option for those looking to break into intermediate standard. Finally, extra Futura boards provide more options of board for flat-water blasting.

An ideal introduction throughout the week, teaching young windsurfers the basics of getting on the water and sailing the board across the wind and back.

Practical skills to get young windsurfers sailing around a course practicing tacking and gybing, enabling them to make progression towards and away from the wind.

RYA Youth Windsurfing Scheme Stage 3
Through the course of the week, we will teach board set up and rigging, enhancing the stance on all points of sailing and introduce basic harness techniques in stronger winds.

There are activities galore on and off the water at San Lucianu Beach Resort.
In addition to our lively aerobics and fitness classes there are also lots of lovely running routes and mountain walks that allow you to explore the local area very easily. Every other morning we host a morning run and once a week we host a walk to the local waterfalls where a quick dip in the plunge pools is a must! There are also a wealth of walking routes available from the Customer Services desk so you can explore to your heart’s content.
The activities run 6 days a week in the off-peak season and open 7 days a week in peak season, from early morning to sunset.
We are delighted to be introducing a brand new fleet of hybrid bikes to San Lucianu this summer. The narrow tyres and lightweight frame of the Cannondale Quick 4 is ideally suited for exploring the predominantly tarmac surfaces that surround this resort.
Furthermore, for the more passionate cycling enthusiasts, there is the option of renting a Cannondale CAAD 8 Claris Road Bike.
Guests have the option of exploring the area under their own steam or joining a guided tour. Tours set at Easy-going, Medium and Challenging levels and ranging from 10-60km offer something for everybody.
Alternatively, you may like to bring your own bike to resort, to ride alone or as part of a guided tour. Check your airline’s website for pricing and packaging requirements.

Pedals
Toeclip style and flat pedals are provided as standard but guests are also welcome to bring their own shoes, cleats and pedals should they wish to do so.
Our lively aerobics instructor runs a schedule of classes throughout the day, with something to suit everyone. Join in a early-morning stretch and tone session, moving on to up-tempo body conditioning, aqua aerobics and body pump. All our exercise classes are held outdoors, allowing you to take in the sound of the sea while you work out.
For some team fun, there are beach volleyball matches and some rather competitive waterpolo matches.
With its stunning mountain backdrop and a lovely sea breeze, San Lucianu is a fabulous spot for a game of tennis.
There are three hard painted tennis courts; racquets and balls available at no extra charge for your enjoyment. Coaching is available at an extra charge.

Discover the island and participate in one of the weekly excursions or hire a car and independently explore: the stunning town of Bonifacio, the most southern point of the island; the wonderful seaside town of Calvi, located on the west of the island; and to other notable towns including St. Florent with boutique shops and waterfront cafes; the old port of Bastia with it’s fine Baroque churches and the old capital of Corsica Corté, with it’s bustling cafes and mountain scenery.
Enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail during one of San Lucianu’s many Happy Hours while the sun sets, then carry the night on and join in with the increasingly popular evening entertainment.
When it comes to dining you will be spoilt for choice. Chose to sit on a social table with new-found friends or enjoy a more private table, the choice is yours. Evening meals vary from à la carte to buffets and barbecues, offering you a selection of dining experiences throughout your holiday. Sit on the terrace and savour the Corsican cuisine whilst sipping on regional wine.
Single parents can enjoy some 'me' time at the spa or read a book on the beach while the little ones are making new friends in their club.
We arrange social tables in the evenings for groups of like-minded adults to meet together for conversation over some great food.
