Easily accessible, renowned for its year round warm climate and only 25km from Malaga airport, Fuengirola is one of the most popular destinations on the Costa Del Sol. A buzzing cosmopolitan town on the Mediterranean situated between Malaga and Marbella and close to the other popular towns of Mijas and Benaladena. Bioparc Zoo and the water park are sure to be hits with the kids! If you want a bit of culture check out the ruins of the Roman baths at Torreblanca or the Arab castel in Solhail. The castle is a Fuengirola landmark and dates back to Moorish times. The town has its own museum should you want to learn more about the history of the town. Fuengirola is right in the heart of the ‘Costa Del Golf’ so golfers won’t have to venture far to avail of several courses.
The night owl is certainly well catered for in Fuengirola with a host of bars and clubs to choose from. It is said that some of the best bars and clubs along the Costa Del Sol are in Fuengirola. All can be found close to the centre of town so easily accessible. The marina is a pleasant spot for a stroll day or night time with a range of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Outdoor café culture and terrace restaurants being particularly popular. There is still a traditional air to the marina with one area still dedicated to the local fishermen plying their trade.
