Quinta Do Lago

Algarve, Portugal

Situated in the Ria Formosa Natural Park set amidst two thousand acres of rolling hills and pine woodlands is the popular resort of Quinta do Lago. Offering peace and seclusion, Quinta do Lago is one of the most exclusive resorts in the Algarve with many luxurious properties to choose from in its lush green surroundings overlooking spectacular cliffs and long sandy beaches. Renowned for its excellent golf courses, you can choose from some of the finest championship golf courses in Europe. Whether you’re a world-class pro or an absolute beginner, the golf courses here are second to none, and you really would be missing out if you didn’t take a swing or two on a putting green or driving range at least once.

Quinta do Lago lies on the Atlantic coast but the waters are much warmer than those further north. This is due to the influence from both the Mediterranean and North Africa, heating the ocean to a tropical 26°C during the summer months. The beaches here are some of the best that you will find anywhere, with a mix of both family-orientated and quieter stretches of sands too.

The resort is known for its high-quality restaurants. You will find relaxed and formal options. If you’re feeling foie gras or wood-fired pizza or simply some Portuguese sardines thrown on a barbecue, you will find it all here!

If shopping is your thing, there are two shopping centres at the entrance to Quinta do Lago at the “Q” roundabout, Quinta Shopping and the Bougainvillea Plaza.

Transfer time from Faro airport is approx. 30 minutes.
