Built in ancient times as a fishing village today offers every kind of tourist infrastructure, including two different beaches. Today, Kassiopi is a village full of charm with its central square, its picturesque port and the ruin of a Byzantine castle. Just behind Kassiopi, there is Mount Pantokratoras. The port of Kassiopi is still in use today by local fishermen who give a beautiful example of the simple Greek traditions. In Kassiopi you can find three different beaches. The first one, a rocky bay on the left side of the town is very wide and there are beach umbrellas, deck chairs and water sports. The other two beaches are just behind the cape and are smaller than the first but more picturesque. The larger beach is near the village which offers facilities to tourists throughout the day. Transfer time from Corfu airport is approx. 60 minutes.
