Your Lapland experience will begin directly from Rovaniemi airport, where your truly special transfer awaits. You will be greeted with the most authentic form of travel in Lapland, Reindeer drawn sleds. Follow in the footsteps of the Sami people as you travel in the age old way; on a reindeer pulled sleigh. The most traditional and peaceful way to move through the silent Lappish nature. Sit back and relax while we take you through the wintery forest on a 45 minute magical reindeer safari, taking in the beauty of the brilliant white snow and breath-taking landscape that surrounds you. The journey will take you to a local reindeer farm, where you will meet real reindeer herders, who will tell you about their way of life hand in hand with nature. While you’re enjoying this amazing experience, your luggage will be brought straight to your Igloo.
Crossing the magical line of the Arctic Circle will be a memorable experience as you will take part in a genuine Arctic Circle Crossing Ceremony performed by a shaman. After your visit to the reindeer farm you will be brought to the tranquillity of a private glass igloo, close to the Arctic Circle.

Staying overnight in a glass igloo is a once in a lifetime magical experience. With the subtle luxury of sleeping under a starry sky, this unique concept is like sleeping in the open, but with the pleasure of being warm and cosy. All our igloos are heated and have a private bathroom with a rain shower. For extra comfort we provide bathrobes and slippers and your room also has a flat screen TV.
On the very evening of your arrival, you can immerse yourself into the local atmosphere and enjoy your dinner in the Arctic Eye restaurant. After dinner why not enjoy a drink in the lobby bar while gazing upon the constellations that people of the north have used for millennia for traversing the wilderness. As dusk falls, you can settle into your magnificent igloo and blend into the arctic night from the comfort of your bed. If the elusive northern lights decide to make an appearance, you couldn’t be in a better spot and you don’t have to worry about frostbite!

Let the adventure begin, following a hearty Finnish breakfast at the hotel, you will be transported to the starting point of your snowmobile safari. After receiving your briefing from your guide you can look forward to an unforgettable experience in the breath-taking Lappish nature, on a thrilling snowmobile safari with stunning scenery. You will get to enjoy the snowy magic of Lapland along trails that are untouched by roads and habitation. We will combine your snowmobile safari to a husky farm where these amazing dogs will welcome you with their friendly barking. A husky safari is a truly thrilling experience, especially when you have the chance to be a musher in control of your own team of dogs. Learn some interesting facts about sled dogs and definitely take some nice photos for your memories. Experience the excitement of the dogs as they eagerly wait to pull you at a speedy pace though the unspoilt wilderness. Following your visit to the husky farm you will use the snowmobiles to return back to the starting point where you will be transported back to your Igloo.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy, so why not relax in the comfort of your igloo or explore the centre of Rovaniemi which can be reached by taxi or with the local bus.
This evening you won’t be disappointed as you will be mesmerised by the beauty of the phenomenal Snowland igloo. Be enthralled by the illuminated ice sculptors and admire candles shimmering in the snow. Inside beautiful lanterns hang in the grand halls made of Ice and starry lights twinkle on the ceilings. Everything here is made of ice, tables, bar counters, so take your seat around a frozen ice-table and enjoy a delicious 3 course dinner.
After this unique experience you will be transferred back to your hotel for another majestic night under the stars..

Before leaving Lapland you will have time to visit Santa Claus Village. The village is a very magical place for both adults and kids and without a shadow of a doubt, we all agree that Santa Claus is the nicest and most good humoured person on the planet!
Even though Santa spends a huge amount of time in the forest, you can also meet this very special person at his office. You can also send some postcards or letters to your friends and family from his main post office, where the letters and postcards are stamped with the unique Arctic Circle postmark. There are plenty of local handicrafts shops selling local Finnish designs as well as other giftware shops.
The village has a number of restaurants and cafes, so you will have lots of choice if you need to take a break from your shopping. Your guide will arrange a time to meet you before accompanying you back to the airport for your flight to Dublin. A light lunch will be served on board the flight.
