While the government travel advice remains as avoid non-essential travel and even though some destinations are included in the Green List of destinations, we are working with all our customers to help them with their holiday plans, so please be patient we will be in contact with you.

The safety and wellbeing of our customers will always remain our top priority.


The Green list – things to know

  • Destinations will be updated by the Government at any time
  • Countries can come off the green list if they do not meet the criteria set out by government
  • People returning from a Green List country, do not have to self-quarantine, however they are asked to restrict their movements
  • If you book a holiday to a green list destination and should it come off the green list while you are there or before you are due to travel – we will contact you and offer assistance
  • Please refer to the following link for an up to date list of countries included in the Green List

I am booked to travel to a destination included in the Green List, can I still go?

Government advice for countries included in the Green List is currently to avoid non essential travel, however you may still travel if wish to do so. We will be contacting all customers regardless of the destination they are travelling to and will discuss what options you have.

I am booked to travel to a destination that is not included in the Green List?

We will contact you and discuss your options as you would be travelling against government advice. Travel Insurance may not cover you, so it is essential that you check your travel insurance policy.

I am due to travel from September onwards

A lot of flights are operating albeit on a reduced frequency for September and beyond. If you are due to travel in September we will contact you and discuss all options with you. We will be contacting people in order of travel date, so bear with us we will get to you.
We are prioritising all rebooking’s based on travel date.

I am due to pay the balance of my holiday, but I’m concerned
We will do our very best to work with you in this regard. On some selected destinations we may be able to delay the balance due date. Please contact our sales team regarding your booking.

I want to change my holiday, what do I do?
Depending on when and where you are travelling to, we will assist you where we can but please bear in mind our focus is on September holidays at the moment.

You are welcome to contact our office during our normal office hours of 9.00am – 5.00pm Mon-Fri. You may also email info@sunway.ie and one of our team will get back to you.

I’m still worried, can I cancel my booking?
If your flight is still operating and you choose to cancel your holiday, then this would be subject to our cancellation policy as per our booking conditions.

I want to book a new holiday but I am concerned I will lose my money?

  • You can book your holiday in complete confidence with Sunway
  • We are an Irish Family owned and operated holiday company, taking Irish holidaymakers on holiday for more than 53 years
  • Sunway Travel is licensed and bonded with the commission for aviation (TA 0731 and TO 101) Do not take chances with unlicensed travel companies

I hope the above information has helped answer some of the queries you may have. Finally, I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the kind words of support you’ve shared with me over the past few weeks. These are really tough times for Sunway and the Travel Industry of Ireland, but we look forward to planes flying soon so we can take you on holidays.
