Highlights  

Explore the sights and sounds of Cusco with a half-day tour of this magical city. Drive up to the Statue of Christ, enjoying sweeping views on the way. Explore the trails leading you to the Sacsayhumán ruins, and eventually arriving in the picturesque San Blas neighbourhood. Visit a local artisan shop or art gallery. Wander through Plaza de Armas, the main square, to admire colonial architecture before continuing to San Pedro market to see the local specialties.

Day 1 Cusco

Itinerary: Group up at the G Adventures office (aka. The Sun Gate) to meet with your guide. Start your experience with a short walk to San Pedro central market, designed by Alexander Eiffel, to see where the locals buy their groceries and maybe try some yourself! Your guide will take you to a juice stand within the market where you can try the fresh local juice during your walk among the stalls.

Next, hope aboard a private vehicle to Christ Redeemer (Cristo Blanco), where you will enjoy sweeping views of the Cusco Valley. Head down a nearby trail and some stairs next to the Sacsayhuaman Inka temple and continue winding through picturesque, narrow cobblestone streets and arrive in the San Blas neighbourhood. You will have a brief orientation walk around the area and then have some time to visit an art gallery or a local artisans shop.

Venture over to the Plaza de Armas for an explanation at the main square which offers park benches, green spaces, and beautiful colonial architecture. Feel free to visit nearby local coffee shops featuring local Peruvian beans and then end the tour back in the Plaza de Armas.
