Day 1 September 23 - Phnom Penh

Welcome to the capital of Cambodia - Phnom Penh! Upon arrival, you'll be greeted at the airport and taken to your hotel. After settling in, kick off this exciting venture by joining the whole GX crew for a spectacular 'Temple Fair' themed welcome dinner at the historic Wat Phnom. Meet your CEOs and hosts, and get the full down-low on the journey ahead as you dive into an authentic, G-style introduction to the magic of GX Cambodia!

Day 2 September 24 - Phnom Penh

Today's adventure is off to an incredible start. We'll kick things off by exploring the rich culture and vibrant history of Cambodia, from the majestic Royal Palace to the resilience of the Khmer people at S21. After a boxed lunch aboard a scenic river cruise, we'll head to the Silk Village to see traditional weaving in action. Then we'll finish the evening with a delicious, authentic feast at a local restaurant - the perfect end to an incredible day.

Day 3 September 25 - Phnom Penh to Siem Reap

We leave the capital behind and head for the jungle - specifically, the ancient temple complex of Sambor Prei Kuk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where stone towers have been quietly reclaimed by the forest for centuries. We'll refuel with lunch at a local homestay, offering a glimpse into daily life and traditional cuisine prepared by the Sambor Prei Kuk Community, a Planeterra partner that generates income for local families while supporting conservation efforts in surrounding villages. Then we'll roll into Siem Reap - the town that lives in the shadow of Angkor and thrives on it. We'll end the day with a delicious dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 September 26 - Angkor Wat / Siem Reap

An early start rewards us with a breathtaking sunrise over Angkor Wat, followed by a community-supported breakfast at Spoons, a Planeterra partner, that empowers local youth through hospitality training and career opportunities. You'll then explore the "city on stilts" at Kampong Phluk Floating Village. We'll cap off the day with dinner at a local restaurant and, if you like, you can really get the night started among the neon lights and bustling energy of Pub Street.

Day 5 September 27 - Siem Reap

Happy World Tourism Day! Today is the centerpiece of our trip: the World Community Tourism Summit. You'll join industry trailblazers to discuss how travel can be a force for global good. To cap off this transformative day, we'll host a grand, final celebration at an iconic secret location featuring traditional cultural performances under the stars.

Day 6 September 28 - Siem Reap

All good things must come to an end, and today is departure day. After a final breakfast, pack your bags and bid farewell to the new friends you've made from all over the world. Take a moment to cherish the incredible memories we've made together as we head to the airport for your journey home. Thank you for exploring the Kingdom of Wonder and sharing our love for making the world a better place. Until we meet again!

We recommend booking outbound travel no earlier than 9am

Why is GX priced differently than a standard G Adventures tour?

GX Cambodia is a premium, all-inclusive experience - community tourism dialled up to 11. It combines the spirit of adventure travel with elevated comfort, extraordinary access, and meaningful impact.

Your ticket includes hand-picked 4- and 5-star hotels, all meals, and every service tip - so your journey is entirely worry-free. Beyond the upgraded stays, you'll get access to money-can't-buy experiences, including private parties in iconic historic locations.

What makes GX truly unique is that the experience goes beyond the trip itself. A portion of every ticket goes directly to Planeterra to support Project 300 - an ambitious goal to uplift 300 communities through tourism by 2030. Your booking directly funds long-term, measurable impact for the communities you visit.

Why pick GX over a standard trip?

Every G Adventures trip is built on purpose - but GX dials that up to 11. While a regular tour might visit one or two community projects, GX is a week-long celebration where community tourism is the main event. You'll skip the usual tourist path for a premium, all-in experience with upgraded stays and all the logistics - meals, transport, tips - already handled.

You'll spend time with local legends like the Lady Tuk Tuk Drivers and the team at New Hope, seeing exactly how your travel dollars drive real economic growth. From exclusive access to world-class celebrations to high-energy moments you won't find anywhere else, GX is your chance to see just how much of a force for good travel can be.

Will group sizes stay the same for GX?

Since GX is a special celebration, group sizes are a bit larger than usual, typically 20-25 travelers (compared to the 16-22 you might see on a regular tour). To keep that intimate feel you love, we bring in extra CEOs for every group. This way, you get to enjoy the high-energy, "big community" feel of the event without losing the personalized, hands-on care that makes our trips so special.

What is the cancellation policy for GX?

Plans change - we get it. Cancel 90 days or more before the Summit and you'll receive a full refund. Cancel between 89 and 60 days out and we can offer a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations within 59 days or fewer aren't eligible for a refund. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable and will be held on file as a credit toward your next G Adventures trip.

Who will be leading the group?

CEO (Chief Experience Officer) throughout, local guides.

Are international flights included in this trip?

No, international flights are generally not included in the price of your tour.

However, on some combo tours travelling between two different countries, international flights are included as part of the itinerary and price of the tour. Please speak to your GCO or booking agent for further details.

In addition, check-in times and baggage allowances/restrictions vary by airline and can change at any time. For the most up-to-date information for your flight, please contact your airline. We recommend checking in online in advance to avoid potential delays at the airport.

How does GX support Planeterra?

GX turns travel energy into direct action. Every ticket supports Planeterra's mission, and to date the event has raised over $1.2M USD for their global initiatives. Your attendance helps fuel Project 300 - an ambitious plan to uplift and support 300+ communities worldwide through the power of community-driven tourism.
